The shop connector

Run your shop from Claude or ChatGPT

Your shop has an MCP connector: add one address to Claude or ChatGPT, sign in to WhizzyCommerce, pick the shop, and run it in plain language from the chat you already use. It reads orders, products and settings directly. Anything that would change the shop comes back as a preview you confirm in your dashboard. The address is https://app.whizzycommerce.com/mcp.

Claude Code and other MCP clients

In a terminal: claude mcp add --transport http whizzy-merchant https://app.whizzycommerce.com/mcp, then start Claude, type /mcp, choose whizzy-merchant and Authenticate. Any client that speaks MCP over HTTP with OAuth connects the same way, with the address above.

Nothing changes until you confirm

  • Reads are direct. Orders, products, customers, sales, stock and settings.
  • Changes are proposals. A tool that would change the shop returns a preview of every row before and after, and a link. Only you, signed in to the dashboard, can confirm it.
  • Design. Sections and page layouts are drafts you publish from the editor; the chat gives you the link. Colours, fonts and the theme's settings apply at once, each listed in Design with an undo.
  • Receipts. Every confirmed change is in the shop's change log, with who proposed it and who confirmed it, and most can be undone from there. An email that has gone out, or money that has left, cannot.
  • Your say. Out of the box a connection may propose anything. On the shop's AI screen you narrow that, or bind a connection to a named agent such as Analyst (reports only), and you disconnect it there at any time.

Questions

What does it cost?

The connector is on every plan, the free Demo included. The thinking runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, so WhizzyCommerce adds nothing for it. Custom connectors need a Claude or ChatGPT plan that allows them.

Can it change my shop without me?

No. Changing tools return a preview and a link, and the change happens only when you confirm it in your dashboard. Page layouts wait in a draft until you publish.

Who can connect a shop?

Its owner and admins. The sign-in only offers shops you administer.

What does WhizzyCommerce see of my chat?

Only the tool calls the chat makes to your shop and their answers. The conversation itself stays with Claude or ChatGPT.

How do I disconnect?

On the shop's AI screen, where every connection is listed with its last use. Removing the connector in Claude or ChatGPT stops it from that side.
