Switching
Moving from Shopify, WooCommerce or another platform
The one-file importer is for Magento 2, and there is no one-press importer for Shopify or WooCommerce. What every plan has is a spreadsheet import for products: the CSV your old platform exports comes in with its columns matched and a preview before anything is written. Customers and orders do not come across.
Products come in from the CSV your platform exports
Under Products, Import, you bring in a CSV, match its columns to the shop's fields and see a preview before anything is written. The product file Shopify exports is recognised whole, without mapping by hand, and the columns we recognise are matched for you in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and French. WooCommerce, Wix and PrestaShop export their products as a CSV too, and that file is what you import.
The preview counts what would be added, updated and left unchanged, and lists every row it would leave out with the reason. Rows that share a handle become the variants of one product, and pictures are copied from the web addresses in the file into your shop's own storage. It is on every plan, Free included; how it works is on importing products from a CSV or a feed.
What does not come across
- A one-press importer: there is none for Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix or PrestaShop. The one-file importer is for Magento 2.
- Customers and orders: they do not come in from a spreadsheet. From Magento 2 they do, with the one-file importer described on moving from Magento.
- Excel files are not read directly: save the sheet as CSV first.
A few products? The assistant adds them
For a small catalogue, the shop's assistant can add products for you, one preview at a time, each confirmed before it is created, including pictures from a web address.
Leaving works the other way round
Your whole shop downloads at any time as one zip: products, customers and orders as spreadsheets in Shopify's import format, every picture, and a full archive of the database.
Questions
Is there a one-press importer for Shopify or WooCommerce?
No. Products come in from the CSV those platforms export: Shopify's layout is recognised without mapping by hand, and you see a preview before anything is written. Customers and orders do not come across.
Is the import free?
Yes. Importing by hand, as often as you like, is on every plan including Free. Imports that run themselves on a schedule are on Pro, up to three per shop.
What if my shop is on Magento 2?
Then the one-file importer brings across categories, products, customers, order history and promotions, with a dry run first, and for the first 100 shops the move is done for you, free. See moving from Magento.
